Discover Malaysia’s traditional heartland on a slow, meaningful journey along the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. From colourful markets and Islamic heritage to coastal villages, handicrafts and turtle conservation, this tour showcases the region’s rich culture, untouched beaches and warm local hospitality.

 


 

Day 1: Arrive Kota Bharu

 

Arrive in Kota Bharu and transfer to your peaceful village-style retreat. Spend the evening exploring a lively night market known for its street food and local crafts.

 

Day 2: Kota Bharu Culture & Heritage

 

Begin the day at a bustling local market before continuing to explore Kelantan’s arts, crafts and historical stories. Visit key cultural landmarks and end the day with a stop at one of the region’s most iconic Buddhist temples.

 

Day 3: Kota Bharu → Terengganu

 

Depart for Terengganu, stopping along the way to witness traditional batik craftsmanship and coastal scenery. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch by the beach before visiting important cultural sites including an Islamic heritage park and the state museum. Check in and relax for the evening.

 

Day 4: Terengganu Discovery

 

Spend the morning on a small island famed for its traditional wooden boat makers, followed by a visit to a striking riverside mosque. Continue to Terengganu’s historic Chinatown, stopping to enjoy the region’s beloved local snacks.

 

Day 5: Terengganu → Kuantan

 

Travel south to Kuantan and visit its signature beach, a local museum, and a weaving centre known for its exquisite traditional textiles. End the day with fresh seafood at a local fishing village (subject to availability).

 

Day 6: Kuantan → Cherating

 

Continue towards Cherating for a relaxed day by the beach, followed by a visit to a Turtle Sanctuary to learn about conservation efforts. Explore the local night market in the evening.

 

Day 7: Cherating → Departure

 

Check out and transfer overland back to Kuala Lumpur for your onward journey.
